The content of these strips is unknown, but we're guessing they are probably nylon, rayon, polyester or a combination of that or other material. They do not appear to have any raveling or unwoven strings.
They range in width from 1" to around 1-1/2" wide and are primarily one or two lengths, except where we've cut them to fit into a bag.

Black, White, Gray, Royal Blue, & Nude

SOCK LOOPERS Here's what dyed loopers can look like....
Undyed-Natural; 85% Cotton/15% Polyester

A 2 ft. x 3 ft. rug uses about 2 lbs. of Loopers.
We have learned that sock manufacturers do not use the knitting machines any longer that produce
the "fluffy" loopers we originally carried. The new machines make a smaller, less "fluffy" looper. You can, however, try looping two together to make
a thicker looper (as shown in the photos above).
The "loopers" we sell do NOT come linked together and also have strings, loose threads, etc. We're not overly happy with these loopers, but they are all we can currently find.
Some even sadder news....we were told that even these smaller loopers will eventually be a thing of the past. There is new technology out there that does away with the "loopers" altogether. The machines are rather expensive, but sooner or later all sock manufacturers will be using them.
