8/4 & 8/8 Recycled Yarn ("PE"):
This yarn is an "environmentally responsible" yarn that has been recycled from fabric scraps to eliminate waste from landfills.  No additional dye has been added.  There is a limited supply available in 15 different colors in both sizes (we are accepting preorders).

This yarn has a "heritage" look about it as a result of the repurposing process.  The 8/4 is not quite as strong as our regular 8/4 natural yarn but should be suitable for warp that does not require excessive tension.

African Market Baskets from Ghana, Africa (Free Trade).  Very attractive color combinations.  Every new order brings new color selections.

April 20-22:  Smoky Mountain Fiber Arts Festival, Townsend, TN. (Their website)  R&M Yarns will have a booth at this event--Friday thru Sunday.  Come by and see us.  I will also be offering 2 beginning weaving classes on Saturday where students will weave a table runner on a pre-warped Schacht "Pup" floor loom.  There are lots of vendors and classes one can sign up for.  My daughter, Candee, will also have a booth with lots of hand-dyed yarns.

(If you are coming to the Festival and need coned yarns from R&M, let me know and I will be happy to bring them to avoid shipping costs.)

May 12 Mark you calendars now for the R&M Yarns Fiber Education Festival--Saturday, May 12, 2018 on the front lawn at the Store.  The Scenic Valley Handweavers Guild will be demonstrating several fiber art techniques.  There will also be fiber animals to view and learn about.  The sheep shearing demonstration is always a BIG hit with about 4 sheep being sheared throughout the day.

This is a FREE event and there is a Kids' area where they can "make & take" a fiber-related craft or two.
